About Us

Our Mission

We provide a compassionate, caring and professional management system that protects animals – whether they be lost, abused or released by their owners, and educate the community about proper care and handling of animals and the importance of spaying/neutering to control the animal overpopulation.

Our Focus

We focus on companion animals, primarily dogs and cats. The animals will remain at the shelter until placed with well-screened foster homes or until placed in permanent stable homes with loving and responsible owners.

Our Priority

Our priority is on life – no animal will be euthanized unless it is too ill or injured to recover or unless it habitually exhibits inappropriate aggressive behavior. All decisions to euthanize will be made by a committee of appropriate trained personnel. Our staff and volunteers are committed to making the animals’ visit in the shelter as brief, comfortable and beneficial as possible.

Our Emphasis

The emphasis of our shelter is on the animals’ welfare – here the animals come first!
